When we do a walkthrough we can typically identify ways to help you make more money for your metal. Often the steel you are running can be segregated or if thrown in the same dumpster given separate pricing by type, with mild steel or A36 steel being more valuable as it can go to a foundry. We also see various types of stainless steel and aluminum mixed together and if we can sort the material we are able to pay you more for each type.
We also have helped customers improve their scrap flow, process and operation just by making some simple suggestions. Prompt payment, ticketing and information helps our customers stay on top of the scrap program and understand if they can make efficiencies in their operation to create less scrap metal, which is our ultimate shared goal!
Sahd Metal Recycling prefers to do a site visit to see how we can best serve you and to see if we can improve your recycling program. At that time we will create an upfront formula price for you by commodity and strategize with you on ways you can make more money for your metal.
Different customers have different processes, and Sahd Metal Recycling can work with them all! If you take the time to segregate material you will get paid more but we also work with customers who throw all of their metal together and we sort and give you value for each of your materials.
Some customers even prepare their material smaller to get better scrap value. So no matter what works best for you we can work with your operation.
Sahd Metal Recycling offers 24 hour turnaround rolloff service to customers in Lancaster, York, Lebanon, Dauphin, Berks Adams and Cumberland Counties.
Sahd Metal Recycling offers our recurring customers free dumpster service with prompt turnaround if they are consistently filling the dumpsters. This generally would be for customers swapping containers out at least monthly. If you have a question if your company qualifies, please text Dan at 717-286-7693.
We do offer one time or infrequent service for a fee, with the value of the metal going against the dumpster cost. Fees can range between $200 to $500 per swap depending on the material in the dumpster and how far you are from our base in Columbia (zip code 17512)
We have containers to fit each customer’s needs and size requirements. Our biggest rolloffs are 22 foot in length, approximately 8 feet high and 7 feet wide, and our smallest are about 15 feet in length, approximately 4 feet high and 7 feet wide. These are picked up and dropped by our rolloff truck. If you are able to lift containers onto our flatbed with a forklift we can offer you many smaller sizes to work with.
Yes, we have various sized steel containers, self dumping hoppers and even gaylord boxes to help you keep your facility organized and to help in the scrap metal preparation process. As long as you can be able to lift them onto our 24 foot stake body flatbed we can work with you!
