When Looking for Container Services for your Metal Recycling needs, One Size does not fit all!!

Date

Dumpsters, rolloffs, bins, containers, no matter what you call them they form the foundation of a scrap metal recycling program!  Whether you are a metal fabricator, demolition or excavating company or an electrical contractor your needs are different, and you deserve a scrap metal recycling partner who will customize their program to your needs.  Recycled steel, aluminum, brass, copper and stainless steel can take on many shapes and sizes and your containers need to do the same!

Our 24-hour turnaround guaranteed container service is at the heart of a scrap metal recycling program and Sahd Metal Recycling has many rolloff sizes to fit your needs.  The width is generally around 7 feet, but the varying lengths are designed for the space and staging needs of your facility.  Our rollofs range between 15 and 22 feet long, which is an advantage considering the accessibility you need to fill the container.  We offer upgraded pricing for sorting of materials so companies will have multiple bins spread out throughout their parking lots to allow their operators to load from different sides of the container.  Having varying sizes helps employees navigate around the area and when spacing is tight due to material storage or simply limited parking staggering 15 and 18 footers around 20 or 22 footers.

The next consideration when looking at dumpsters is the height of the dumpster.  Material density, forklift safety and visibility are some of the factors that would be considered in this area.  Our containers range from 4 to nearly 8 feet high, with most options in between right around 5-6 feet high.  Our containers can carry a net weight of approximately 22,000 pounds when on our trucks, so obviously the material density comes into play when selecting a height.  If your material is light, it would make sense to get a higher dumpster to maximize hauling capacity per pull.  If it is heavy, we would definitely use a lower sided container to make sure we would haul your material legally.

Safe loading and handling of scrap metal is of utmost importance to our company.  We do not like to have our containers too high so customers can look in and see where to dump and not have to lift heavy loads higher than necessary or is safe for capacity.  Often time the ground near a rolloff is unstable so it is especially important to keep stability in the area when considering dumping into the container.

Some other considerations when considering a rolloff service provider is whether they are willing to take the extra time to do a “double drop”, meaning put the new container in the same spot as the old one.  This takes longer but some companies need this due to the premium on storage and the need to maximize revenue by having extra containers.  Our team is happy to provide you with anything you need.

Beyond rolloff service there are many additional ways Sahd Metal Recycling can service your needs.  We offer a 48-foot length flatbed for you to live load material on when you need to get it out of your way and do not have space for a dumpster.  We also offer a 24-foot length stakebody flatbed with the accompanying tubs to store your material in. Often, aluminum, copper, stainless steel, and insulated copper wire need smaller containers that are placed at various locations inside a plant and get changed out for an empty container when full.  Sahd Metal Recycling will come by and swap out your full containers for empty ones and if wanted keep extras on had so you don’t slow down production.  Some customers prefer gaylord boxes, steel drums or plastic totes and steel 1- or 2-yard self-dumping hoppers.  We have an unlimited supply of all the above, so whatever your need we would be happy to help!

The biggest commitment a scrap metal company makes when serving a customer is to ensure that we assist in keeping production flowing on your shop floor or on your demolition site.  No one can afford to be held up by a scrap metal company that does not promptly serve its customers.  Whether the hoppers on the shop floor can’t be emptied in the outside container and it causes a safety or trip hazard or whether there is no room in the parking lot and finished goods are jeopardized because there is no room to maneuver around them, a company that does not respect your needs for prompt service does not deserve your business.  This is our greatest commitment and from dispatchers Shelbie, Dan, Mike and Aileen to drivers Mason, Dylan, Ron, Sam and Mike we take this very seriously and strive to cut down our 24-hour turnaround to a fraction of that time.

In summary, we exist to serve your scrap metal needs.  You will get the same 24-hour turnaround commitment whether you have a few aluminum, steel and copper bins for a stakebody or a dumpster full of metal that needs to be swapped out.  Whether you need to schedule 4 consecutive swaps in a day or one live load flatbed we have the trucking and containers ready to serve you with.  Sahd Metal Recycling looks forward to speaking with you, give us a text, call or email and see what our guarantee and personalized service is all about!
