Prepared steel No. 1 simply means steel that is under the 5-foot spec for the steel mills. We use our shear crane to cut up the steel that doesn’t meet this spec to ensure it is under 5 foot.
Steel mills use this steel to manufacture new steel that can/will be used in the future. This is very crucial for us, especially for the plans we have in the future!
