Make Earth Day Everyday!

Celebrate National Recycling Day With Us

We are so excited to invite the public to our fall celebration of recycling, National Recycling Day on Monday, November 15th at 11 am!

Sahd Metal Recycling has participated in Earth Day for the past fifteen Aprils, but this is our first event to honor National Recycling Day.  We pay the best prices for your scrap metal in Lancaster County, buying materials ranging from aluminum cans to copper pipes to dishwashers.  Metal is what we do, we know how to reduce, reuse and recycle metal.  Whether we process the scrap metal for mills and foundries to melt or resell scraps, plates, and other structural items, everything we do is to prevent us from having to use excessive energy to dig into the earth for virgin resources.

Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Authority (LCSWMA) has partnered with us from the very first Earth Day event and we are honored to have them on hand on November 15th to educate recyclers of all ages about the variety of items that they accept from Lancaster County residents at their Harrisburg Pike Location.  From the orange battery bag that you can simply place next to your trash can at home to visiting the facility and bringing in your old paint, household chemicals, computers, TVs, cellphones, and countless other items we are so blessed to have such a convenient way to recycle in this area.  Here are a few resources LCSWMA will discuss at our event along with a great video showing how easy the process is:

So, what’s so special about November 15th?  So many things to mention!  First, we will have our fun and educational tour where kids of all ages see the equipment processing the industrial scrap metal–the magnet, the scissors, and the torches!  Lots of big trucks are always on the run with our 24-hour service guarantee dumpsters loaded and ready for action!  During our tour, we will have many contests and prizes to participate in–plenty of winners!  We have a special free grab-and-go treat as well and drawings for prizes among attendees.
Recyclers will be very excited about top pricing for aluminum cans–75 cents per pound all day, Monday, November 15th!!  There will be a $100 prize in a random drawing of customers who sell or buy metal that day.  In addition to the contests during the event, we will have Facebook live contests at 12:15 pm and 6 pm so everyone can get in on the action.

And, as a preview of Sahd Metal Recycling will donate 25 cents for every pound of aluminum cans to be added onto our Extragive donations to the Columbia Food Bank, Off the Streets Susquehanna, and Hands Across the Street.

So come on out and see all the fun things going on at Lancaster County’s place to recycle scrap metal, Sahd Metal Recycling.  We can’t wait to celebrate National Recycling Day with you!  Register for the free event at the link below:
